ATEN CS1782 Dual Link DVI KVM Switch |
|
The KVM, as a device isn’t all that confusing; it simply let’s you use two or more (depending on the model) computers while only needing a single Keyboard, Video (Screen) and Mouse – or KVM.
Over the past 18 months, I would have liked to have ventured into the world that is the KVM, but since my upgrade to Dual-Link DVI enabled monitors, it hasn’t been possible as the DVI side of things on all KVMs only support a maximum of 1920 x 1200; until now, that is! |

ASUS GeForce EN9600GT Matrix Graphics Card |
|
Just when we thought we would no longer receive any more 9600 GTs because we figured we’d reviewed just about every single one on the market, ASUS has decided to run around and release a new one.
The particular card we’re looking at today is part of the Republic of Gamers collection, which is something we tend to see more in the motherboard department. It makes a lot of sense, though, that ASUS are going to expand this popular naming scheme out to more than just motherboards. This new card comes to us as the EN9600GT Matrix. Matrix is also something we haven’t heard of from ASUS before, so it will be interesting to see if they’re going to start creating some new lines. |

BFG ES800 Power Supply Review |
|
BFG has a great power suppy here - not only does it look good, but it does it with performing style. For the duration of the testing, and the subsequent gaming session afterwards, performance remained solid while silence was in full effect. I found no issues with any of the cabling, or the installation of the unit - that was the fault of the unit. Overall, I would have to say that if you're in the market for a PSU at this price point ($219), BFG's ES800 is an excellent choice. While it's lack of support for Tri-SLI is definitely disappointing, it's ability to take a system with two 4870x2 or 9800GX2 cards is admirable. |

PC Power & Cooling Silencer 610 EPS12V Power Supply |
|
Silencer 610 EPS12V is a 610 W power supply from PC Power & Cooling using the traditional PC power supply design with a single 80-mm fan on its rear side. Besides its Spartan looks this unit features active PFC, two video card power connectors for SLI and CrossFire, EPS12V connector and is labeled at 40º C, so the manufacturer guarantees that you will truly get 610 W of power. In fact, this unit came with a testing report generated by a Chroma 8000 machine (probably the most high-end power supply load tester available today), showing that not only this unit can deliver its 610 W but it can peak up to 680 W. As usual, we completely disassembled this power supply to take an in-depth look on its design and components. |

ASUS Eee PC: Exclusive Inside Look! |
|
We decided that once the finalized product is out, there will be streams of people out there doing similar types of reviews, telling you how fast it runs and what its benefits are along with how it should be used. I can already sum that up in two sentences. It’s cheap, it’s functional and it doesn’t take up a lot of space. It can fulfill the basics that you need a PC for, and it is wireless so you can connect to the web easily. What more do you need? |

Users Demand Upgrade from Vista To XP |
|
Admittedly, I find myself amused with the latest Vista sales numbers,
as they seem to forget how many of those same people are disgusted once
they break the seal and want to take Vista back. |

Dell Could Be A Big Key In Linux Adoption |

Better hardware support - this is something we would all like to see
happen. And it seems that it could happen, thanks in part to a Dell
supported project known as DKMS (Dynamic Kernel Module Support). |
